The
customer
A residence for senior citizens serving clients with different
levels of needs. The residence currently has 120 units and
is adding 120 more.
The problem
The owners wanted a telecommunications/telephone solution
that would be perfectly compatible with their integrated residence
management system and would :

They also wanted a system that would be easy
to install in the new residence.
The solution
FLO developed a fully integrated IP solution that allows caregivers
to communicate with each other by converting their PDA into
an IP phone. Inside the building, communications are routed
over a wireless network.
FLO’s IP solution dramatically reduced
the number of telephone lines: it now takes 23 lines instead
of 120 to offer the same service. The bill has been cut from
$4,800 per month to just $700. Call management is now fully
integrated into the residence management system and users
have access to all calling features, including voice mail,
call waiting and call forwarding. Operating costs for the
telephone system have decreased by 80%. It took only 10 months
for the investment to pay for itself. |
